Connie Lorenzo After receiving a degree in design from UC Davis, Connie began her own business in 1982 as a textile designer for the sports-wear industry and part-time art instructor for the Oregon School of Arts & Craft in Portland, OR. In 1988, she moved to the Bay Area to take up art administration full-time as Director of Programs for the Mexican Museum in San Francisco. Having done advance work with digital archives and CD production at the Museum, she was recruited to serve as Director of Academic Technology for the California College of Arts and Crafts. There she oversaw an aggressive expansion of academic technology adding state-of-the-art design labs, wireless campus and dorm capacity, and upgrades to administrative systems and all campus networks. Since moving to Humboldt in 2001, Connie has taken all her past business and administrative experience, and dedicated herself to workforce and economic development issues working initially as a private consultant, than as Program Director for the North Coast Small Business Development Center and now as Manager of Humboldts One-Stop Career Center, The Job Market.
A northern Californian native, Connie is committed to helping the North Coast to survive and thrive as it completes its transition from a resource-based economy to one rooted in successful, home-grown business, industries and products. She serves on several local economic development and workforce groups and Boards. In her private life she gardens and continues her fabric art. The

Renée Chappelle Renée Chappelle & Associates Renée Chappelle was born in Eureka, CA. Her family has been Humboldt County entrepreneurs for three generations in lumber, construction, Loleta Water Company and retail, The Alice Fay. Renée graduated HSU with a BA degree in Business Administration/Marketing, minor degree in Fine Arts. In Mendocino County she and her husband were general contractors and owned a glass and building supply company. She and three partners started Parsons Creek Winery in 1980 winning three gold metals with their wines. From 1995-2001 she did consulting on retail store management, store design, tradeshow speaking on visual design throughout the US. Anne Conrad-Antoville Anne has been the recipient of the Peer Achievement
Award from the State HICAP Association and the Public Health Hero
Award from the Humboldt County Department of Public Health. She
has been interviewed for Medicare stories for KIEM News Channel
3, KHSU FM, The Times-Standard, The Eureka Reporter, The Sacramento
Bee, The Los Angeles Times and USA Today. Anne has a Master's
Degree in Music from the University of Southern California and
has won various honors as a both a cellist and composer from the
Aspen Music Festival, CRS records, the Cleveland Orchestra, the
MacDowell Artists Association and the National Academy of Songwriters
among others. |

Christine Cogen is a professional organizer specializing in residential redesign, downsizing, and organizational coaching. Before launching her organizing business in 1998, Christine was co-owner of Ambiance Gallery in Old Town, Eureka and active in the Old Town Merchants Association and Humboldt Arts Council. As owner of Harmony Trading Company, she traveled throughout Asia selecting art and craft pieces to wholesale in the United States and building relationships with artists throughout the region. During the late 1990's she and her husband, Robert, operated In Depth Adventures, an adventure travel company based in Thailand.
